Ancient!

I’m not really, but I definitely feel older. We had a good night on Thursday, had curry for dinner and some Cava, that made me feel quite ill! Woke up fine on Friday though. We went to Glo in Reading for dinner, which was really nice. We started off sharing some dim sum; duck spring rolls, crispy prawn and chive things and some fried chicken mince thing. It was all nice. I had duck noodles in plum sauce for mains, and some nice cocktails! Then I had deep fried ice cream, which was really nice. The waiter put a candle in it too! Read More...

First Day of Freedom

Yesterday was the first day of having to do nothing. So, naturally, I went to see Toby. He had the day off ’cause he went to the doctor’s to look at his bad knee, and it was Sarah’s birthday. I went over at about half 10, after he’d been to the doctor. I was slightly sad after finding a broken nail. I’m not the kind of girl who would normally care, but I want them long for the prom, so needed to glue it.
We walked up to ASDA to get some super glue and pizzas for that evening. It’s a strange combination, but Toby’s Mum mentioned she needed more pizza so we got some whilst we were out. Me with the super glue was actually really funny. I squeezed the tube and it immidiately blobbed out, down the side of my hand and onto the counter. I ran to the sink to wash it off, but it had dried so I had a white, scaly little finger. It was quite funny. Eventually I glued what I wanted to and spent ages with my hand under the hot tap to pick off what I didn’t need. We then started helping set out the party poppers and such like, and then disappeared to play the Sims 3 when Toby’s Mum started to clean.
Soon, Sarah and her friends began to pile in, so we went downstairs to be sociable. I gave her my present; she seemed very happy about the massive bar of Galaxy. We then started working out how to set up the chocolate fountain, and finally settled down with all the others playing Mariokart on the Wii. I was surprised at how good I was on my first go! We also played Rock Band due to the request of one of Sarah’s friends.
We grabbed some pizza and nibbles as dinner, having eaten half a pizza between us for lunch, and soon my parents showed up to take us to the school GCSE art exhibition. Apparently it was impossible for Toby and I to meet them there.. Silly parents.
The exhibition was pretty good; it was good seeing all the work again, although they’d put my exam piece upside down on the wall.. Even stupider art people. We left after about half an hour, since we’d seen it all and I was getting bored. We went back to our house, and Toby and I watched a new program we’d seen adverts for, The Life and Times of Tim. The adverts and clips we’d found on Youtube were good, however the first episode of the first series was not particularly. We ended up watching Have I Got News for You on Dave, although I fell asleep a few times. I say a few times because I was woken up by Toby, and bad dreams. Not nice. I’d been having the same one for a while, about Toby having disappeared, like he was kidnapped. But it got worse yesterday. I’d found him, but it was just nothing, with him lying there.. Not breathing, not anything.. It was horrible.
We took Toby home at about half 10, since he was tired, so was I, and so was Mum. I went to bed when we got back, and only remember waking up at half 4 in the morning, but not because of a dream. I suppose it’s good news if I wasn’t lying in bed for hours on end before I slept, and also that I didn’t have the same dream again. Read More...
